Mamelodi Sundowns captain Thenba Zwane says despite Rulani Mokwena's departure, the team is still hungry to win trophies.
The 37-year-old coach parted ways with Masandawana last month and has since joined Wydad Casablanca in Morocco. Having spent a decade at Downs, Mokwena was closer to many experienced players in the team.
Zwane, who has played under Mokwena for many years, said the players encouraged each other following Rulani’s sudden departure. “Obviously as players when we saw the news, we had to encourage one another, try to support one another, knowing for sure the decisions made in football,” he told the“We try and respect the decisions of the team and try to encourage the guys that the goal remains the same, competing for all trophies. The mood is fine, and brotherhood.“For us, there’s continuity, as much as we feel we’re adding that will help us in all our games we’re going to play and try to improve the team.

Sundowns are in action next Sunday in the MTN8 against Polokwane City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
