Mamelodi Sundowns legend Themba Zwane is set to play another season. What's his vision for the coming months?
“Well, I’m actually surprised that Sundowns haven’t made a formal announcement because they’ve taken an option,” said Mahlakgane said via “So, Themba has the two options and they have taken one option for the season we are going into.“You know the quality of Themba, you shouldn’t confuse it with his age or anything because it might get mixed up with that. Look at the quality of Themba not how old he is.
“And I think this is a conversation that’s no longer a secret that I communicated with Sundowns, to say someone like him at this level, looking after himself so well, he’s not a night sleeper. “These guys can play like a 25-year-old, so, I think the two players at that level, they’ve given us an opportunity to start looking at the players’ qualities not how old they are and Themba is one player who must lead that conversation,” Mahlakgane concluded.Meanwhile, the Tembisa-born legend has spoken about his motivations and approach for the upcoming term and future. “I would like to assist the youngsters, by sharing the experience I have gained,” Zwane as cited by iDiski Times.
