After one of the suspects was detained, one of the two passengers remaining in the vehicle jumped in the driver’s seat and sped away. Officers lost track of the vehicle for a short time, but found it abandoned in the middle of Highway 6 at Austin Parkway. After setting up a perimeter, several witnesses were able to give information to officers that helped them find the two suspects.The suspects will have charges of felony theft and evading arrest.Christian Terry covered digital news in Tyler and Wichita Falls before returning to the Houston area where he grew up.
