A Houston man was arrested after police in Sugar Land said he was found with tools used to break into mailboxes and articles of identity of other people.

‘Mail was coming up missing’: Former Houston USPS carrier indicted in $1 million mail theft, check fraud scheme Sugar Land Police say around 3 p.m. Wednesday, officers working alongside United States Postal Inspection Service Special Agents spotted a vehicle suspected of being involved in previous mail thefts.
Officers searched the vehicle and found tools used to break into mailboxes alongside stolen articles of identity, such as drivers licenses.“The Sugar Land Police Department works with the Postal Inspectors Office and local agencies to catch mail theft criminals. If you or anyone you know has been a victim, contact the Sugar Land Police Department at 281-275-2020,” the department said.
