Next time you reach for a six-pack of Anchor Steam at the grocery store you might notice that the bottles look a little different.
This summer the iconic beer is trading its regular label for a limited-edition one created by San Francisco artists Paul. The label features an upward view of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge beneath overcast skies .
“The bridge was the obvious focal point for the summer label because Anchor Steam is so inherently tied to San Francisco,” saysThe Golden Gate Bridge completed construction the same year that construction was completed on Anchor’s current brewery, 1937. “In a city that’s constantly evolving, the arts have remained a bona fide element of San Francisco. At Anchor, we’re proud to support the rich artistic heritage of the city we’ve called home for 123 years,” says Anchor Brewmaster Scott Ungermann. “With its unique, rich flavor and unparalleled history, Anchor Steam was the choice brew for the limited-edition label. We hope Anchor Steam fans will enjoy its special packaging as they crack open our flagship brew throughout the summer.
The new Anchor Steam Artist Label will be available on both 12oz. and 22oz. bottles through the summer at select retailers as well as at select bars and restaurants.
