The Rich’s Car Wash Player of the Week is St. Paul’s Junior Tate Johnston. Johnston rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries in the Saints 26-14 win over Gulf Shores.
St. Paul’s remains undefeated on the season as they head into week 8.
“We kind of saw that coming. He’s had a really good year on the offensive side of the ball, and he’s kind of been like our Swiss Army knife, doing a bunch of different things, playing Wildcat quarterback, wide receiver, some safety, some running back, so, he kind of does it all for us. I’m just proud of the way he’s matured over the last few years too. He’s quiet. It’s hard for him to open up, but he leads by example, and he does the right thing.
