The states with the lowest vaccine rates are Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Wyoming and other reliably red states, according to the CDC.

The states with the highest rates – Vermont at 82.9%, Hawaii at 81.2% and Massachusetts at 79.8% – also gave him some of his most lopsided margins in November.

The cohort of states just shy of the 70% target are also Biden states: New York, Illinois, Virginia and Minnesota among them.
