The owner of the salon was 'speechless' upon learning they had won an award again
A Nottingham salon where prices haven't increased for five years boasts of 'back-to-back' appointments every day and a bulging awards cabinet.
Kelly Jones, owner of Totally Polished on High Road, in Beeston, was recently crowned 'Lash Specialist of the Year' at the British Hair and Beauty Awards. Kelly, who has been a beautician for around 14 years has many loyal customers and is now training others to do eyelash extensions.“I get a lot of single mums coming in to treat themselves and I love what I do. I haven’t increased my prices for five years and I’ll be keeping it like that, I want my prices to stay affordable.”
For ‘Classic’ eyelash extensions it’s £45, for 'Hybrids', it’s £50, a set of ‘Russians’ is £55 and 'Mega Volume' sets are £60. Totally Polished also offers microblading services and Kelly helps train other upcoming beauticians. Kelly continued: “I was speechless when I found out I had won the award again. I thought the judges might have given someone else a chance. During lockdown it was hard, I had no funding because I wasn’t entitled to do anything as I had only opened up my salon in [the previous] November.
