The North Texas Food Bank will kick off its inaugural Kids Camp next week
It's a one day camp for kids ages 8 thru 11 where they'll learn about the food bank, hunger and nutrition. The kids will also learn about food insecurity, how to fight hunger and giving back.
Campers will spend part of their day filling backpacks with nutritious, kid-friendly food for elementary and middle school students who need the additional food during the summer months. There are 6 camp sessions being offered, they start June 12th. The cost is $30, and each session is limited to 25 campers.
