The Manheim Township High School football team learned how to save lives with the Peyton Walker Foundation as they joined forces to certify student athletes while educating the youth about sudden cardiac arrests.
The Manheim Township football coach teaches new lessons to his boys day in and day out, and the topic of sudden cardiac arrests was one of them. According to the Peyton Walker Foundation, “sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death amongst student athletes." “I’ve been trained for a long time, and I tell the boys all the time that I never had to use it, and I hope I never do," Evans said. "But I’m glad I have it because it’s better to have it and not need it than to be in a situation and wish you would have had it."
