Having met and bonded over sea shanties across a kitchen table in their native Bristol a decade ago, The Longest Johns – Jonathan ‘JD’ Darley, Andy Yates and Robbie Sattin – have reimagined many of folk's classic songs while adding their own unique style of song writing to the melting pot to keep the flame of the tradition alive.
Having met and bonded over sea shanties across a kitchen table in their native Bristol a decade ago, The Longest Johns – Jonathan ‘JD’ Darley, Andy Yates and Robbie Sattin – have reimagined many of folk's classic songs while adding their own unique style of song writing to the melting pot to keep the flame of the tradition alive. In doing so, they have graced the stages of international folk festivals and toured the UK, Europe and North America.
And in February the band set off on The Voyage Tour, a three-month, no-stone-unturned circuit of Europe and the UK with a further month of dates to follow in the USA and Canada.
