A ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ thug who was detained by a man whose flat he broke into is amongst those who have been jailed in Greater Manchester this week.

Whilst inside, he pilfered a number of items including jewellery, during which he woke up the man.
He handed himself in the next day, but even then tried to avoid the blame - telling police officers: "It wasn't my fault, she just ran out." But Minshull Street Crown Court heard that the collision would never have happened if Brazil hadn't been driving at 60mph in a 30mph zone on Edenfield Road in Rochdale.
He then grabbed hold of her and dragged the girl into a secluded area just off the pavement, where he strangled her. Lee has been declared 'dangerous' and locked up. The women were left disgusted and feeling uneasy in their day to day lives, Manchester Crown Court heard. One of them said: "In 2023 women should feel safe enough to walk in the street without the fear they are going to be touched without their consent."
A joint investigation by Greater Manchester Police, Lancashire Police, Merseyside Police and North Wales Police identified Rigby, 41, of Stonesteads Way, Bolton, as being involved in burglary offences in their respective areas.
