Forty years later, 'The Goonies' cast showed up to toast Ke Huy Quan, who was honored with a hand-and-footprint ceremony at L.A.'s famed TCL Chinese Theater.

Then, Brolin paid tribute to his friend, who he called "truly one of the last existences of the American dream." He continued, "I won't say much other than after, I too lived in the ethers of our business for 19-plus years. The only difference being that I was still chipping away at leftovers and trading stocks full time while you pursued a whole other profession and excelled in it famously.
Brolin also praised his costar for having "that Midas touch...because you have that heart of gold that you’ve always had, as far back as 40 years it's been." Though Brolin was 16 and Quan was "a spritely 13," Brolin said he remembers his costar's family "having the same heart-driven, totally inclusive disposition, always welcoming, always with open arms."
"I could not be happier for you. I know we all are, all us Goonies, here for an honor that is not only totally deserved but celebrates all that is right in this industry. Love you, pal,” he concluded.Seeing everyone there to support him and watching Brolin"just talking about me" made Quan feel like"I couldn't control my emotions," the actor told"I love that movie so much. It's one of the greatest adventures of my life," he told the outlet.
