A group of Glasgow sport historians believe a humble city tenement could be the site where Scottish football history was made during a famous meeting more than 150 years ago.
To the untrained eye, it's a typical blonde sandstone Glasgow tenement with little to differentiate it from the hundreds of others just like it across the city.
Queen's Park played a pivotal role in the formation of the Scottish Football Association and were responsible for orchestrating and overseeing the inaugural international encounter between Scotland and England under association rules - the world's first ever football international. A breakthrough was made last year on the anniversary of the Queen's Park founding when the Hampden Collection pondered over the importance of a possible clue fixed to a building in Govanhill.
