From automation to edge computing, rising stars on Wall Street reveal how finance is transforming before our eyes
"On AI and big data: They can be buzzwords that you see a lot in the industry. At the same time, because lots of companies use it already today, I see this being the case even more going forward. This would change the requirements of people working in asset management and portfolio management. They will need to become way more technical.
"The analogy that comes to mind is a good restaurant. Many places are able to place one excellent meal, or they're good for the first two months. But making it consistently good every meal, lunch, or dinner — that's the challenge. It's about service, consistency, and to be honest, a lot of common sense.
"We believe it results in more voices being heard, better decision-making and ultimately drives improved investment outcomes. Additionally, many investors are increasingly looking for managers to show a commitment to DE&I. "I think these forms of communication will reach a wider audience, and we'll continue to see more client interactions with a virtual approach.""I would have never imagined that I'd be doing a restructuring case over Zoom, and it can sometimes be hard for everyone to find a dial-in or get documents from the dockets. But the technology will change, and it's already gotten better.
