is a very different kind of astrology tool, one that allows users to explore their charts and reveal the larger stories of their lives, behaviors, and personalities, and how they interact with the charts of those closest to them. It's a tall order, but it has clearly struck a nerve, spreading by word of mouth to reach over a million downloads—and truly mess withIn other words, the Pattern app doesn't have users so much as devotees, and until very recently, its founder was a mystery.
Those detailed, often shockingly accurate readings are the result of a unique algorithm and a well of personalized content, written most often in Donovan's own voice."We removed the astrology jargon to make the insights easier to understand and digest. We wanted to speak to users in a language they could really relate to," she explains. We wanted to get to know the woman behind the app better—obviously, by way of her shopping choices.
