The first trailer for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series has arrived. Watch it here:
’s love story: the pair dancing at the reception of their wedding; Meghan in her much-dissected Stella McCartney dress; the pair together on holiday, jumping for the camera and pulling silly faces; a low-key moment following a formal event, with Harry planting a kiss on Meghan as she sits on the kitchen counter.
“Why did you want to make this documentary?” Garbus questions the Duke of Sussex at the beginning of the minute-long teaser. “No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors,” Harry responds. “I had to do everything I could to protect my family.” As for Meghan’s take? “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?” she asks.
The Duchess previously opened up about the project—and what the couple’s focus will be with Archewell Productions going forward—during an interview withpodcast. “It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story—a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired—even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it,” she reflected. “But that’s not why we’re telling it.
