Keith Levine provides an update regarding the upcoming remake of The Blob, which is being directed by Hellraiser's David Bruckner.
, Levine teased of The Blob remake, “Well, I personally am very excited about – because another one of these ‘my parents are out movies’ that I’m watching at a young age is The Blob – which we’re doing at Warner Brothers, also with He continued, “There’s this movie theater scene towards the end of it where these kids sneak out and they go to the movies and then they get killed by the blob … I think that was the first time I had seen kids my age die. I was watching all these horror movies.
Plot details remain under wraps at this time; although, the original 1958 movie revolved around an amoeba-like alien that exponentially expands by absorbing people. The Blob was followed with a sequel, 1972’s Beware! The Blob, before the original film was then remade in 1988 by Russell. Rob Zombie announced he was working on a new Blob movie in 2009 but left the project shortly after.
