BANGKOK (Xinhua): Thailand's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has announced that all zoos in Thailand will be opened for business starting from Monday, while national parks will follow suit on July 1.
The ministry also said that all zoos will be required to limit the number of visitors to a maximum of 2,000 persons per day.
Free entry will be given from June 15 until June 30 and 50-per cent discount will be offered from July 1 onward.However, some air-conditioned and small enclosed areas will be closed. Visitors will have to undergo body temperature checks at the entrance. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers will be provided around the zoos.
Meanwhile, out of all 155 national parks across the country, 127 national parks will reopen on July 1.Twenty-eight others will remain closed.The ministry ordered the closure of zoos and parks in mid March to stem the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Enditem
