The mother of two's account of an alleged hate crime incident at a Dallas coffee store went viral over the weekend.

A civil rights group is urging witnesses to come forward after a Muslim woman said she was assaulted at a Starbucks in Dallas, Texas, for wearing a Hijab.

"The sad part was it was Starbucks and not a single employee or bystander said a word to her. She threw things in my face and said horrific things," Ashour wrote."Had the roles been reversed, I guarantee the reactions would have differed. She added:"This is such a small thing compared to the hatred other Muslims experience on a daily basis. America, do better.

"This type of discriminatory behavior is obviously not acceptable in our stores and not welcome. When our partners [employees] see something, they move quickly to address it," a spokesperson added.
