Sea Turtle Inc., a Texas-based wildlife rescue, is gearing up for another cold stun event that threatens sea turtle populations. The organization is urging the public to help in their efforts to save these vulnerable creatures.

Sea Turtle Inc. , a Texas wildlife rescue, is working tirelessly to save turtles that have been stunned by the recent arctic blast. This isn't the first time this year the organization has faced this challenge. On Tuesday, Sea Turtle Inc. , a gulf-coast-based animal rescue that specializes in recovering, rehabilitating, and releasing turtles, issued a public warning about the impending ' Cold Stun ' and its potential to seriously harm turtle populations.

This event marks the second time in just two weeks that the organization has had to respond to such an emergency. In 2021, Sea Turtle Inc. rescued over 5,500 cold-stunned sea turtles. \'This is our second cold stun event in just two weeks so not much time to recover from the last winter storm,' CEO Wendy Knight said. 'Our team and volunteers are prepared and fully equipped to meet the overwhelming demand. We stand ready to continue our mission to save as many sea turtles as possible.' Over the past 46 years in operation, Sea Turtle Inc. has been dedicated to rescuing, housing, and releasing cold-stunned sea turtles. The organization has deployed boat patrols, with plans for both foot and boat patrols throughout the rest of the week. “We are rapidly working to complete construction on the largest fully enclosed sea turtle hospital in the world,” says Wendy Knight. “Having the hospital complete for these types of events will have a critical impact on the survival rate and the response capability of our organization.”\Anyone wanting to contribute to the organization's efforts is asked to visit the Sea Turtle Inc.
