Texas State loses to Stanford, setting up winner-take-all final at NCAA regional

Texas State earned the advantage in the regional by defeating Stanford 5-2 on Saturday, and the Cardinal set up the rematch by eliminating UC Santa Barbara with an 8-4 win earlier Sunday. Texas State tried to keep pace with long balls by Jose Gonzalez and Dalton Shuffield, but the Bobcats mustered just four hits compared to 13 for the Cardinal.
