Texas State knocked off No. 2 overall seed Stanford 5-2 on Saturday at the Sunken Diamond in Stanford, Calif., earning a spot in the NCAA regional final.
Texas Tech transfer Levi Wells threw seven innings for the Bobcats, allowing two runs on eight hits and a walk with six strikeouts. Jose Gonzalez put the Bobcats on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a towering home run over the right-field wall.
