Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday that the hope is Jung will be able to play on opening day.

Jung, 26, underwent an MRI on Friday and Bochy said that “he’s got a little healing to still do.” The hope is that Jung will be ready to play on opening day vs. the Chicago Cubs.“He looks good right now,” Bochy said. “Is he there yet? No ... we can’t ramp him up to much right now, we can’t have a setback. Hopefully he will be ready opening day. But is he ready to go into a game? No.
