He was 1-4 this season with a 4.03 ERA in 22 games with 43 strikeouts in 29 innings.Rodriguez, 26, had a 6.88 ERA in 12 games for the Rangers this season that included five home runs allowed in 17 innings pitched.
Max Scherzer was activated from the 60-day IL last week. In the coming two weeks, the Rangers are hopeful of activating the likes of Josh Jung and potentially Cody Bradford. They currently are at a full 40 players on the 40-man roster. Players on the 60-day IL don’t count against the 40, but must be re-added in order to be activated.Evan Grant
