Another unfortunate soul was forced to test the muddy waters of the River Walk this week as he tried — successfully — to retrieve a child's stroller. In video footage shared by Gabriela Gomez, a man was captured trying to push a stroller out of the water as another person on dry land gave their best effort to hoist it while holding the hand of a small child. After the stroller made it out, a picture shows another person helping the man get out.
A photo taken by Gomez after the stroller was safely out of the water shows a third person, who attempted to help the man out of the water. 'The guy was pretty upset about his unplanned swim,' she said. 'By the end we were laughing, less so the man, but he was ok.' Falls into the water along the River Walk have been deadly even in recent years, with a string of drownings the reason the city banned swimming there in the 1970s.
