SAN ANTONIO - A car thief is now behind bars after allegedly stealing someone's car and crashing it on the West Side. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the incident happened near the 700 block of Castroville Road around 10 p.m. Friday. Police share that they responded to a shooting in progress and discovered that a suspect was in a stolen car and was shooting at the 30-year-old owner of the car who was following him in another vehicle.
Both of the cars were found a few minutes later when another call came in regarding a wrecked vehicle nearby.The suspect was found and apprehended down the street. He was identified as Joe San Miguell III, 39, and charged with Aggravated Robbery.
