The Texas General Land Office is firing back after a federal agency claimed that one of the border islands claimed for Operation Lone Star may not actually be state land .
"Our documentation reflects that Fronton Island is federal property under the jurisdiction of the USIBWC," the letter states. As the GLO has not conducted any construction activities on Fronton Island, we must decline your request to 'remove the obstructions and reestablish the flow in the existing channel north of the island.'
