Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa announced Friday he will step down following another devastating election cycle for Democrats up and down the ballot. The resignation, effective next March, comes after more than a decade of Hinojosa at the helm as Democrats have tried over and over to retake statewide power. This year, the party hoped to build on the near-success of Beto O’Rourke’s 2018 U.S. Senate campaign, but on Tuesday Sen.
