Texas A&M University System orders agencies to remove diversity statements from hiring practices

The University of Texas System last week paused new DEI policies at all of its campuses, the Austin American-Statesman first. Sharp's directive came in his own letter to A&M's 11 universities and eight state agencies, Sharp wrote on Thursday that he has now standardized the faculty and staff application process, limiting them to submitting a cover letter, their curriculum vitae, statements about research and teaching philosophies and professional references.
