Incumbent Republican Beth Van Duyne faces Democratic newcomer Sam Eppler
We acknowledge U.S. Rep. Beth Van Duyne’s long record of public service and concern for the needs of her district. But her far-right politics, combative nature and inflammatory acts
She has done important work to match employers with job seekers in her district and has taken up unglamorous topics, such as cracking down on hospice fraud. There has been a spate of killings in which unauthorized immigrants are suspected. But it’s wrong to demonize a whole group of people, and Van Duyne’s hyperbole distracts from real solutions to serious problems.
