, Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson met with the Eagles in-person, after having already met with them virtually. Johnson spent two weeks on the Eagles ’ training camp roster in 2011 before being released.
In one of his first coaching stops with the Colts, he spent three years under Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, who was Indianapolis’ offensive coordinator. Johnson joined Houston’s staff in 2023 and was given significant credit for then-rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud’s standout performance. He interviewed for the Eagles’ OC job in 2024, but the team ultimately hired Kellen Moore for the position. The Eagles have given four OC candidates second interviews: Johnson, Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion, Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter and former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard.
