Sharon Mackie Marquer and her daughter Paris had their Jersey home badly damaged as a result of Storm Ciaran.
Glaswegian Sharon Mackie Marquer and her 13-year-old daughter, who both live in the Channel Island of Jersey, had their home ripped through by the Storm Ciaran on Wednesday night.
She said: “I was taking a video of the lightning, and I felt this intense pressure when the hailstones started. I couldn’t close the kitchen door because of that pressure. Supposedly that’s the sign of a 'tornado'. “It was all over the bedding where my daughter would have been sleeping on the couch. There were big bits of glass everywhere.Join the Daily Record's WhatsApp community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.
