TerraPower, a Washington-based company, has awarded contracts to Doosan Corporation and HD Hyundai for the construction of the first Natrium reactor enclosure system (RES). This project marks a significant milestone in the deployment and commercialization of America’s first advanced reactor, the Natrium sodium-cooled fast reactor.
Doosan Corporation will supply the core barrel, guard vessel, and internal supports for the Natrium reactor, and HD Hyundai will manufacture the reactor vessel.
