Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag voiced similar concerns after the Palace game to the ones he did after the loss to Bayern Munich.
Manchester United slumped to their fifth defeat of the season in all competitions this weekend after a disappointing display against Crystal Palace.
The cacophony of boos which greeted the full-time whistle was of little surprise to anyone, including Erik ten Hag. In his post-match press conference admitted he understood the frustration from the supporters and added: "What you have seen on a very high level, it was against Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Brighton, all top-level teams, and we go head to head but they win.
After the 4-3 loss to Bayern in the Champions League, the Dutchman communicated the same criticisms he pointed out this weekend. "We were often in the right position in the final part but we didn’t make the right decisions on and off the ball and that is very disappointing," he said last month. "It is not a matter of luck, you can’t explain it like this. It is the form of today from the team. I think we get into the right spot and then you have to make the right decisions to create more."
