The teenager, identified in court documents by the initials T.H., was arrested alongside his mother, Ashley Pardo, who is accused of aiding in the commission of terrorism.Legal documents reveal that T.H. had previously been charged and appeared in court last year for allegedly setting an apartment building on fire. Sources indicate that T.H. was caught on video entering the building that was set ablaze. The case was declared a mistrial and was scheduled to be heard on May 8 at the Court of Appeals. This date coincided with T.H.'s scheduled return to Rhodes Middle School after attending an alternative school. The Fourth Court of Appeals has yet to make a decision on the appeal. If the court affirms the original judge's decision, the case cannot be retried due to double jeopardy, which prevents a defendant from being tried again for the same crime. T.H. is expected to return to court for the terrorism charge in a week. Meanwhile, his mother, Ashley Pardo, is out on bond.
