The poor Koroks in Tears Of The Kingdom are having a really bad time of it, thanks to players' disturbing new creations:

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom released a matter of days ago, and players are already doing horrible things to Koroks. The ability to build vehicles with the powers granted to Link via his new arm was a highlight in trailers leading up to the game's release. This promise of creative freedom hasn't disappointed as players have put Link's Ultrahand ability to use to torment Koroks.

Players are taking to Twitter to share their new Tears of the Kingdom vehicles, which use Koroks in horrifying ways. Twitter user Pory shared a particularly brutal vehicle that they called "the Korok Rotisserie Machine" which features several Koroks fused together and spinning over multiple fires. Another user named gudaguda enjoyer shared a vehicle they created with a Korok fused to a cross on the back, not offering an explanation as to why they designed it that way.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT With Nintendo's family-friendly reputation, it's unlikely that the company foresaw the horrifying treatment players would give to creatures they're meant to help. However, the variety of creations that players are already sharing showcases the freedom allowed by Link's new abilities in TOTK.

The Purpose Of Koroks In Tears Of The Kingdom As in Breath of the Wild, Koroks are scattered around both the Surface and the Sky. The Koroks are in need of help from Link to solve various problems, and that includes transporting them to specific locations. As a reward, Link is given Korok Seeds, which are used as a currency to upgrade Link's inventory space for weapons, bows, and shields, which is particularly useful given item durability and the ability to create weapons with Fuse.

It didn't take long for players to test the new mechanics added in Tears of the Kingdom, and unfortunately for the Koroks, the ability to fuse them to vehicles with Ultrahand left them vulnerable to becoming part of horrifying creations. However, even with the less-than-friendly ordeals players have put Koroks through, these creations show the potential for building and crafting for future games.
