The Tacoma Animal Shelter is reducing pet adoption fees to $14 from February 13th to 15th in celebration of Valentine's Day. The discounted rate applies to dogs, cats, and rabbits available for adoption at the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County. The shelter also encourages people to send virtual Valentines to shelter pets.
In celebration of Valentine's Day, the Tacoma Animal Shelter is hoping residents' open hearts will extend to pets in need of a forever home.Starting on Feb. 13, pet adoption fees will lower to $14. The discounted rate will last through Feb. 15 at the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County at 2608 Center Street.There are 56 dogs, 24 cats, and 26 rabbits are available for adoption. People can view pets up for adoption at the Humane Society adoption page.
"Send a shelter pet a Valentine to make their day extra sweet! Make a gift of $20 or more and our staff and volunteers will bring them a special treat, along with extra love and cuddles," says organizers with the shelter."Love isn’t just in the air—you can find it at our shelter," says Leslie Dalzell, chief executive officer at the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County.
