JOHOR BARU: Police have re-arrested a suspect who was previously detained over the abduction of six-year-old Albertine Leo Jia Hui.
"The investigation is being conducted under Section 10 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for possessing child sexual abuse material and Section 292 of the Penal Code for possessing obscene material," he said in a statement here. He advised the public, especially parents, to continuously monitor their children's activities, emotional development and physical well-being to detect any signs of sexual abuse early to bring perpetrators to justice.
Comm Kumar added that any information regarding such incidents can be reported to the Johor police hotline at 019-279 2095 or its operations room at 07-221 2999.
