SAN ANTINIO -

On Friday, San Antonio Police officers arrested Percy Clark IV in a surveillance operation in connection with the shooting death of Eduardo Monsivais, who was shot on the 2200 block of Wine Cup Dr. According to the arrest affidavit, the incident unfolded on Dec.

4, 2025, after a recent altercation between Monsivais and Clark, who was allegedly dropped off near the crime scene by his current girlfriend, identified as Witness 3 . When questioned, witness 3 told police that she had driven him to the scene when she said he was going to speak to a friend, and that after having picked him up a short time later, Clark allegedly confessed to the shooting.According to W3, Clark exited the vehicle with a black handgun, claiming he was visiting a friend, which aligned with the location of the offense at Witness 1's residence. At approximately 12:52 p.m., a call reported a shooting in progress at Wine Cup/Alexander Hamilton. Witnesses described the shooter as matching Clark's description, having been wearing a red hat and black hoodie, with a neck tattoo. As Witness 3 drove past the scene, she saw the injured Monsivais and police presence before picking up an out-of-breath Clark on the 1300 block of Donaldson Ave. Witness 2 , Clark's ex-significant other, reported that Clark admitted to shooting someone on the Westside that day and showed her a small black handgun. She recognized the address as a location Clark frequented, corroborating the connection to W1's residence. The investigation led authorities to an Econolodge on the 5300 block of Wurzbach Rd., where Clark and W3 were staying. Covert officers allegedly observed Clark pointing a firearm at W3 and discharging it towards the ground before he was apprehended without incident. The firearm was recovered, and W3 confirmed it was the same gun Clark had when he exited her car near the crime scene. Both W2 and W3 identified Clark in a photo lineup as the person who claimed responsibility for the shooting. Clark admitted to knowing Monsivais and acknowledged a recent minor disturbance between them, providing further evidence of his involvement in the tragic event.Clark has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, as well as Murder.
