DC villain Lex Luthor is joining Superman & Lois season 3, with a gorgeous fan art picturing what Michael Cudlitz's take on the character could look like. Cudlitz is mostly known for his role as gruff survivor Abraham Ford on AMC's hit zombie series The Walking Dead.

The art presents Cudlitz's stark resemblance to comic book Lex, making a compelling case for The CW getting the casting right. Clark, Lois and their sons' lives are set to be disrupted when Lex Luthor reappears during the new season. Jordan Kent becoming Superboy to help his father might be the best possible outcome to take some of the weight off Clark's shoulders, as Luthor resurfacing is surely going to add tension to the whole season.
The way Cudlitz's Lex can stand apart from the other live-action Lex Luthor actors is through a performance that gets closer to the character's comic book counterpart, while adding a level of brutality new to audiences, which Cudlitz's time on The Walking Dead as Abraham has shown him able to accurately portray. His Superman & Lois casting announcement revealed a few details for his Lex, claiming he is a "brutal psychopath who terrorizes anyone he crosses paths with.
What To Expect From Superman & Lois Season 3 Cudlitz's arrival in Superman & Lois season 3 is going to shift the entire dynamic of the series. According to the character's description, Lex is going to be "hellbent on correcting a personal injustice by enacting revenge on the two people he feels have wronged him — Superman and Lois Lane." Superman & Lois season 3 begins its story weeks after season 2's ending.
