After Westbrook’s 37-point effort keeps the short-handed Clippers competitive again, the Phoenix stars make it clear they consider the slander directed at him to be undeserved.
LOS ANGELES — Russell Westbrook joined the Clippers in late February, dragging with him 18 months of baggage from his tumultuous days with the Lakers.
“I feel like the only people that do that are the people who don’t know basketball, you know what I’m saying?” Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant said after leading his teamon Saturday afternoon at Crypto.com Arena. Westbrook and Durant played eight seasons together in Oklahoma City, forging a lasting bond. The two were seen bro-hugging it out in the hallway of the Footprint Center in Phoenix after Game 2.
