Studio City Home Collapses After Fire, Multiple Blazes Rage Across LA County

A house fire in Studio City resulted in a house collapse, as firefighters battle multiple wildfires across Los Angeles County.

As fires continued to spread across Los Angeles County, SkyFOX captured a moment where a home in Studio City ended up collapsing to the ground.The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call of the fire at a four-story home in the 3600 block of North Sunswept Drive a little before 9 p.m. on January 8.The fire started as a small brush fire before spreading onto the home.As of 9 p.m., officials did not say if people were inside the home at the time of the fire.

The news of the house fire comes as crews in Southern California are in the middle of taking down several other incidents across LA County. The Palisades Fire has devastated homes and businesses in the Malibu and Pacific Palisades areas, in addition to posing serious threats to Santa Monica, Brentwood and West Los Angeles. The Eaton Fire torched the Pasadena and Altadena areas and the Hurst Fire has burned parts of the San Fernando Valley. A fourth fire – the Woodley Fire – was reported near the Sepulveda Basin on January 8. So far, no evacuations have been ordered for areas impacted by the Woodley Fire. The Lidia Fire, was reported near the Antelope Valley, forcing people in Acton to evacuate.The most recent incident, the Sunset Fire, broke out near the Hollywood Hills, prompting authorities to declare mandatory evacuation orders for that area
