HENRY COUNTY , Ala. - More policy is needed to deal with stray dogs in Henry County , according to County Commission Chairman David Money .
“I don’t have the equipment to handle those animals,” said Sheriff Blankenship. “I don’t have the facility within the sheriff’s office.” “We’d love to say we’d love to take 100% of what they have, but we can’t,” said SHARK President, Gordon East. “It leads to euthanasia,” said Chairman Money. “We don’t like to do that, but sometimes, you don’t have another option.”He said something needs to be done so the county can use their funding on more pressing issues.
