Three strangers, Michael Flores, Mary McKenzie, and an unidentified man, helped deliver a baby in a Maverik gas station parking lot in Salt Lake City. Flores found a pregnant woman in distress and brought her to the gas station. McKenzie, a store employee, delivered the baby with the help of a 911 dispatcher, Joyce Jones, while waiting for paramedics. The baby and mother were transported to the hospital in good condition.

The firefighters and paramedics were on their way, but were still minutes away — minutes none of them had.Armed with gloves and napkins, McKenzie got to work with the help of Jones and the two men."Yes, she needs to push hard to get the baby out,” Jones said.You can hear McKenzie telling the woman she’s okay and tells Jones the baby is crying.The cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck, but McKenzie was able to unwrap it and then wrapped the baby in some of the napkins.
