We have heavy rain expected to impact the morning drive through midday across the Gulf Coast on Tuesday.
That will make for nasty conditions on the roads for this morning’s commute. It’s possible that some areas will get 3”-4” of rain in just a few hours in the morning. That will create treacherous conditions for driving. Please give yourself extra time to get to work and make sure the kids have their rain gear.
🌧️ Good morning! We are watching the heavy rain spread across our area this morning. We're already seeing water ponding on the roads, so please drive carefully! ⛈️ As for our severe weather threat, we're still under a level one MARGINAL risk for severe storms. Right now, storms…Other severe weather risks like damaging winds and tornadoes are possible with this system, but those risks are very low and we’re most concerned with the flash flooding potential with this one.
The rain should continue through the morning and then begin wrapping up late morning or after lunch in most areas. Temps will remain in the mid 70s much of the day. After the front passes much cooler air will move in later this week. Highs will only be in the 60s and lows will drop off into the lower 40s. Should stay nice through the weekend.New businesses and restaurants on the way to Saraland
