The Gulf of Alaska will be like a super highway for storms over the weekend. The Pacific lows will get caught in the circulation over the gulf and become part of the easterly flow affecting southern coastal Alaska. A high wind warning will start Saturday for the Bering Strait Coast and St. Lawrence Island. Northeast winds 35-45, gusting to 70 mph, and further north, near Point Hope and the Noatak Valley will see a warning for strong winds begin early Sunday.
