We had a terrific crew turn out for our first SHOTWELL Community Lantern Parade workshop. Inspired by kindred spirits from Baltimore to Bozeman, our plan is to host a series of workshops over the next few months, culminating in a fall parade along Shotwell Street.
At our second session, we will continue work underway and bring new folks into the fold. Unlike craft experiences where students make something to bring home, we are collectively sharing and learning as we build lanterns for this public celebration. Come join us!Registration required – sign up today! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/community-lantern-parade-workshop-2-tickets-1983898720478?aff=oddtdtcreator• No experience is necessary, but this workshop is for folks 18 and older. • We will not break for lunch. Bring any food and beverages you might want to have during the workshop. • All materials provided. A suggested donation of $10 helps offset material costs; all are welcome regardless of means.• Bring a pair of scissors and wire snips, if you can – no need to buy these.• StorefrontLab is fully accessible. There are two steps at the entry to Shotwell Paper Mill. Please email us regarding any other accessibility questions or concerns.
