A stolen SUV crashed in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section on Saturday night and killed a man in a wheelchair, police said.
Investigators said the stolen Cadillac Escalade plowed into two other cars and the 38-year-old man while being followed by police.The victim in the wheelchair, who was panhandling along Castor Avenue at the time, was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he later died, police said.Sign up for NBC Philadelphia newsletters.
A woman and an 11-year-old girl in one of the cars were hurt, but expected to be okay, according to Philadelphia Police Inspector D F Pace. Police said four people got out of the stolen vehicle and ran off, but one, a 19-year-old, was arrested and faces several charges.
