The Los Angeles Times reported on Monday that some stores are selling a carton of 12 for nearly $9. The bird flu and fears of it are being blamed for the price hikes. Cal-Maine is 8% from the Dec.16 high. The stock is up 2.7% in a week and 5.6% in a month.
